Our Story
A Little Bit of History
Here at Carmel Valley Community Youth Center, we’re committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. Since 1952, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!
1952 CVCYC founded, as private non-profit organization to provide a meeting and social hall for non-denominational community youth use
1954 Hall building built
1964 Constructed CVCYC Public Pool and established aquatics and water safety program
1980 Acquired, developed and operated first CV Park grounds
1985 Outdoor stage built for free live entertainment
1985 CV Recreation & Park District formed to assume operations of CV Park and land acquisition
2000 Reconstructed pool house and added restaurant facility
2013 New built-in BBQ on Hall Patio
2020 Solar Panels added to main hall
